The Green Gourmet line is an eco-friendly cookware line that uses a nonstick technology named Ceramica which is exclusively owned by Cuisinart.  The Ceramica technology is a coating that is ceramic based instead of petroleum based, which helps conserve oil supplies.  The coating is also applied at half the temperature of other nonstick cookware so it requires less energy consumption to make.  The Ceramica coating does not use PTFE(Teflon) or PFOA(Perfluorooctanoic acid).
