Le Creuset was established in the year 1925. In it’s beginnings Le Creuset produced porcelain enameled cast iron pots from it’s foundry in n Fresnoy le Grand. Le Creuset still uses it’s hand-crafted techniques including it’s original process of forging and casting to manufacture it’s cookware. Among the first cast iron items produced by Le Creuset wasthe Cocotte (French Oven). This item is still being produced and is one of the most popular items that the company sells.
Usage:
Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron Cookware distributes heat evenly and slowly. This cookware line will work with all heat sources, including induction cooktops. Pieces that use phenolic knobs and handles are oven safe to 375°F. Items that have Cast Iron or Stainless Steel handles or knobs are oven and broiler safe up to any oven temperature. To protect the surface of this line only silicone, heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils should be used.
Cleaning & Care:
When cleaning let this cookware cool before filling or submerging it in water. Thermal shock could damage the enamel coating. The Le Creuset Enameled Cast Iron line is dishwasher safe but handwashing is recommended.
